Tell Me THE STORY - Week 28

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.
(Isaiah 1:19-20)

From the time God delivered His people Israel from Egypt, He had revealed Himself as "the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin" (Ex 34:6-7).  For some 700 years, God had proven His faithfulness to a stubborn and forgetful people.  There comes a time when God says, "Enough is enough!"  Even then, God proves His faithfulness.  The northern kingdom would fall.  Now southern Judah has a chance to learn from Israel's example.  Would they?  Will we?
