Leading a Teaching Ministry
Courtni McMillin

Courtni McMillin has served in Children’s Ministry at Green Lawn for 15 years. She started in 2004 as a teacher for our Bright Horizons Preschool Ministry. For several years she served as the Director of the program. In 2008 Courtni began working as the Children’s Ministry Assistant in the Green Lawn Teaching Ministry, and then transitioned to full-time as the Director of Children’s Ministry in 2012.  She and her husband Johnathan moved to Lubbock after teaching in the U.S. Territory of American Samoa. They are raising four wonderful daughters.

Amy Hill

Amy Hill has been involved in Children’s Ministry at Green Lawn since 1991. She has been a teacher and pre-school class coordinator. She began working as the Resource Room Coordinator in 2006. Amy teaches elementary science at Lubbock Christian School. She is married to Mike and have 2 married sons, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

Peggy Sorensen

Peggy Sorensen was raised in Montana and has lived in many different towns and states before coming to Lubbock in 2014. Peggy was hired in 2015 at Green Lawn to be the Education Ministry Secretary and has become a valuable member of their team organizing the teaching ministry. Peggy’s favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:6-7 which got her through her battle with Breast Cancer, along with her Green Lawn’s family support. She has two feline furbabies, Tiny and Littlebit. She also spends her time house/pet sitting for friends and likes to refurbish dumpster finds.
