Tell Me THE STORY - Week 10

God's Faithfulness to His People

What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him? "(Deuteronomy 4:7)

It had been a long 40 years of wandering and rebellion for Israel. The adult generation of Israelites who came out of Egypt died in the wilderness during those 40 years for refusing to go into the Promised Land when God first offered it. Now a new generation is encamped on the plains of Moab at the edge of Canaan. Would they follow the example of faithlessness and duplicitous devotion their parents demonstrated, or will they learn the lessons of God's discipline and be blessed as God's people? This is the question Moses wants them to consider before stepping foot in their new homeland.
