Adult Spiritual Formation

Adult Ministry Teaching Ministry

The teaching ministry of the Green Lawn church endeavors to help people be transformed into the image of Christ by fostering closer and more meaningful relationships with God -- Father, Son, and Spirit -- and with one another. Although it takes many forms, the teaching ministry strives to make disciples by bringing about deeper faith, formation of a spiritual worldview, and transformation into the image of Jesus Christ.

What to expect:

Bible classes and other activities provide rich opportunities for Bible study, fellowship, spiritual growth, support, and service. As we come together, we gather around God's word and allow it to interpret life and guide daily decisions.

Sunday morning classes are grouped primarily by life and family stages. Wednesday evening classes are more intergenerational and elective in nature, offering topics for a wide range of needs and interests. New class groups are formed regularly to meet the needs of our growing church family.

Opportunities for Service:
  • Teach adult classes on Sundays or Wednesdays. Class series generally last three months at a time.
  • Lead an adult class by promoting fellowship, prayer for one another, service opportunities outside of class, and meeting needs of members
  • Assist with planning of studies for adult classes and events promoting spiritual growth and faith formation
