Paying Attention to Godly Wisdom
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
(Proverbs 2:6)
"God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore" (1 Kgs 4:29). The readings this week are among the 3,000 proverbs and 1,500 songs penned by Solomon. "From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom" (1 Kgs 4:34), and we also have the opportunity to sit at Solomon's feet and listen to the understanding and insight God provided. It is wisdom that came as a gift from the heart and mind of God.
