Tell Me THE STORY - Week 32

God's Judgment When No One Is Listening

Do you not fear me? Declares the LORD.
Do you not tremble before me? ...
But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart;
they have turned aside and gone away.
(Jeremiah 5:22-23)

How many times had God pleaded with His people, and how many times had they ignored Him? How many
prophets had He sent to call them back, and how many times had they rejected God’s messengers? God was
patient and long-suffering, but eventually He kept His word of judgment. A people who would not listen then
scratched their heads and wondered, “Why is this happening to us? How could God be so unfair?” Are we
listening, or will we be surprised, too?
