“It is finished!” THE STORY has come down to this. Everything has been preparing for and anticipating this moment. Over a period of three days, God’s plan to redeem mankind from the consequences of their sin was completed. At first, it seemed like defeat. In the end, death was swallowed up in victory, Jesus was raised to life, and a descendant of David was enthroned forever as Lord and Messiah.
