How to Study the Bible
We live in an age of noise and division. Every day we see how quickly disagreement results in anger
and contempt. Public conversations have become contests in which the "winner" often is the one who
shouts the most extreme statements the loudest. Unfortunately, this environment affects each one of
us more than it should–and often more than we realize.
The church exists in the same world. This is both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge is
that the habits that rub off on us in the world can slip quietly into the body of Christ. The opportunity
is that transformed disciples can model a different way—one grounded not in the world’s wisdom but
in the gospel.
